Default What oil filter for 2010?

I just went to do an oil change and filter for my 2010 Sedona and of course the filter I purchased from Kia doesn't exactly look like the one in the car.

The filter taken out has black plastic on both ends of the filter and the new one doesn't???

The part number is 26320-3C30A

It seems every time I try to purchase an oil filter at the dealer I always get the wrong one?? One time the parts guy gave me two filters and told me keep the one that doesn't fit, he charged me for only one....

Very frustrating.

The part number for the filter you need ends in 250. It is the only filter used on the 3.8L Sedonas in 2009 and 2010.

Your right the dealer just called me back and said the 250 was the correct one, thanks for telling me now after the filter is already in the van.

So it looks like a trip to the dealer is in order, take my bike when it stops raining.

Yeeeshh.

There are 3 differnet filters that can fit the 2007-2010 sedona and sorento models. The 2 smaller ones, like you have seen, the 3C30A and the 3C250.

the 3C30A does NOT have plastic at either end.

the 3C250 does.

the 3C100 is larger, about 5 1/4" tall, and also has plastic ends.

The Sedonas didn't mix up filters like the Sorentos, and the Borregos, did. For the Sedona, 06-08 used the tall 3C100, 09-10 used the 3C250, and 11-up with the 3.5L use the 3CAA0 like the Sorentos. The didn't use multiple filters in one model year.

For the Sorentos, 07 should be the 3C100, but 08-09 could be either the 3C100 or the 3C30A, and half the time the VIN filter is incorrect in the parts catalog. Its the same for the Borrego, which could use either the 3C30A or the 3C250.
