Default (2) Questions: Power Tailgate and Seat Position Memory

I have a 2006 KIA Sedona Power package EX. The memory for the seat positions no longer works. Is there a reset? We have adjusted the seats manually for months now. I am 6'4" and I place the lower part of the seat at its lowest position and it will take three tries to get it to that position. I press and hold down once. Press and hold down twice. And finally on the third try in goes all the way down. This is not normal. Am I missing a step?

The power tailgate when you manually open the back engages the motor and the gate rises. Many times I have clicked the tailgate handle and it does not move until I give it alittle lift and then the motor engages. I don't think this is normal. Any one else have this problem?

Thank you for your time

While on the subject, someone in Kia UK decided to skimp on the memory function to go with the electric drivers seat - so if you do need a replacement memory unit, interested to know how much & how it is fitted - I guess it is just a switch unit they declined to fit.

Regards
