Angry Malfunctioning cruise control Grand Carnival

I bought a new Kia Grand Carnival last week.

On the motorway on the way home I tried the cruise control at 80km/h. Approaching traffic I put my foot on the brake, only for it to speed up back to 80km/h!! Pressing brake is supposed to cancel cruise! Fortunately I was able to screech to a halt (eventually after pressing the cancel button) and avoided the collision.

Anyway, I put it in the service centre for a week and they said that the problem had been fixed by a new brake sensor. Wrong!

Tonight on the way home I tried it at various speeds;

100km/h the cruise control wouldn't set at all.
80 km/h the cruise control worked fine
70km/h the cruise control set, but when I hit the brake it accelerated back up to 70km/h.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'll take it back again after Easter, but has anyone else had this problem to speed up my diagnosis?

Jeff,

Sounds like a real big problem that, thankfully, most have not had. When you get a reason/solution please post it here for members to see.
