Default Options on new Grand Carnival

G'day all

I am looking to getting a new GC but am confused by the differing option levels.

Does the GC premium have all the options of the safety and luxury packs? ie. Rain-sensing wipers, all airbags TC ESP etc
According to the spec sheet it should but the local dealer has told me I need to order the Grand Carnival Premium ESP to get the options.

Do I need to specify reversing camera, lamp protectors separately?

Sorry for sounding so confused but I have spoken to three local salesman with three different option routes. I suppose it isn't really thier fault as they are really Jeep/Chrysler dealers with Kia tacked on but still...

Cheers all

EDIT:
Although the brochure and website list the ESP, TC and curtain airbags as standard on the premium, it appears that they are part of a safety package.
I get the wierd feeling that my Kia dealer does not want to sell me a car.

Default Options on Grand Carnival Premium

My dealer showed me a price list which indicated that initial GC Premiums did not have the ESP, but from a particular mth (I dont remember which) that all Premiums would have the ESP as standard.
I beleive that the Safety Pack is standard on the GC Prem.
They have also now made the safety pack as an option on the lower spec versions

I finally got it sorted out. The dealer was going off last years models where the premium didn't have curtain airbags, EBD etc

HE ended up calling another dealer and was decidedly red-faced afterwards. He was trying to make me pay $5500 extra for the premium standards!

I just got annoyed that he hadn't bothered to read the NEW broschure.

As stated, all sorted now and we'll see how the quote looks by the end of the week.

I have already signed up ,but the GC wont be here fore another 4 weeks yet.
I have also been charged an extra 5,500 for the Premium Pack with ESP
Final Price of $51,013.50
If this is the case
I will ring consumer affairs and find where I stand.
Glad I read what you had to say.

I saw the Platinum but have finally received the quote for the premium and that has taken several weeks to get sorted out!.

I don't really want to spend too much on a Kia. Sounds strange I know.

Anyway, I went for the GC Premium and added some other goodies like nudgebar, window tint, paint protection, extended warranty, reverse camera etc

It should make for a good tourer, I'm hoping.

Hello Statikk
That price looks too good. Are you sure you are getting 2007 Grand Carnival VQ EX Premium. As the price quoted on KIA website is 43990/-. and Grand Carnival VQ EX Luxury is 39490/-
With all the accessories if it is 38K then no doubt it's a bargains. Mine 2007 Grand Carnival VQ EX with Safety Pack (ESP & Curtain Air Bags) + Tow Bar with Brakes + Tint + Matts +Reverse Parking Sensor is 38K. Either I was ripped off or you got a bargains.

Forgot to mention that the price is through fleetpartners, so it is their discount as well as GST-free.

The price I was quoted for the GC premium alone is 34500, so the other bits were ~4500.

A lot of car for the money.
