Default UK Kia Sedona TS - Remote Entry

Just taken delivery of a new Kia Sedonal TS to replace my 2001 LE -wow, what a difference - well done Kia.

The only issue I have with the car is that I cannot get the remote control to work to open either of the side doors. I have tried the pwr switch in the overhead console but it does not matter if it is depressed or not. I have noted that whan I lock or unlock the car, that a red light comes on on the remote indicating a signal is being sent. this does not happen when I press the remote keys for the side doors - could my remote (I have tried both) be broken? Anyone else with the same issue?

PWR button only controls the power to the door pull/switches for electric operation.
You have to press and hold door open on remote for approx 1 second, remote opening is always on, and overrides other ways of opening.
Do the doors work ok using handle/interior buttons?
If it still not working, get it back to dealer, needs a better PDI.

Thanks for the quick reply - everything works fine apart from the button on the remote. I assume PDI stands for Pre Dispatch Inspection or similar? I will also have the misses try the remote again (I am not idle just a long way from home at the moment!)

Thanks again

OK - Massive Embarrassment - wife read the manual, then reset the doors by oulling out the master fuse for 60 seconds - this fixed the issue! Oops!
