Default Fan Noise

Hello, I have a 2006 KIA EX and when the car is parked, engine running, and A/C on there is a noticable fan/ticking noise that developes. Does anyone else have this issue?

Default noise not normal

A big no to this, if dealer says "they all do that" it isn't true. George.

Had my compressor replaced and the noise has come back 6 months later. Will have the dealer look at it again.

We have this problem with our 2006 Sedona. The Dealer took the vehicle down to the side of a freeway turned the AC onto AC MAX and then turned the stereo on and said WE DON'T HEAR THE KNOCKING NOISE.

After the service I had a phone call from JD Power and they asked me about the service and work done. A few days later I received an irate phone call from the customer service at KIA who basically said that I had no right saying that the dealer failed to complete repairs and that I should have left the vehicle with them.

I can't afford to keep paying for car rental out of my pocket while they set on the van for days on end. They had it for 2 days before they even looked at the vehicle and that was only after I had phoned and asked when I was going to get the van back.

We've already had the steering column replaced, fuel pump replaced. Brake sensors and switch assemblies had to be replaced due to a failure. Problems with the Airbag warning light coming on all the time.

Had to replace a tire that blew out at 15 miles an hour. Was told by Kia Customer service that I could drive my 800 mile trip with a fully laden van with just the small donut spare tire - when I complained that they just handed me the tire and told me to go and find someone to fit the tire that they were too busy and had gotten too far behind with work even though I had arranged for them to fit the tire with the same person I spoke to and had been told that when they phoned to say the tire was in to bring the vehicle down and get the new tire on and needed to get it done before a trip. Never before have I been told that it would have been perfectly fine to drive on a long trip with a laden vehicle on the only spare tire the vehicle has!

As far as I am concerned KIA's centralised customer service suffers from very rude and arogant and very foolish people and I wish I had gone through an attorney when the brakes, tire and airbags all failed within a week of each other.

I've never dealt with such a terrible company. They act worse than some back street used car dealer selling junk motors from some used car auction that have dubious history!
