During first 1000 miles at low of 18 mpg 60% City and high of 20.1 with 90% highway in rain/snow/wind. George. Notice that mileage always less when my wife is driving any of our cars and that coincidentally the cars she drives also go through brakes faster. George.

We have had our 06 Sedona since May, coming close to 7000 mile check up. Our gas mileage has stayed about 20 mpg. With the exception of 10 miles of dirt road every day, all of the miles could be considered as highway. We don't have any figures as to city miles since our nearest city is 60 miles away.
I do have a question , our car has been in the shop twice, once for a malfunctioning purge valve, and front brakes , and now for a canister replacement. Is this a normal occurance, or is it due to dirt/mud roads causing the problem? Are there any other potential problems?
At 3,800 miles we are experiencing a best tank at 24.8 MPG while steady highway driving at 65 MPH, a low of 17.5 MPG in town. We only use regular fuel.
The Sedona has surpassed our expectations for comfort and power, if it lasts 150,000 trouble free miles like our previous Plymouth Voyager we will be very happy.

Car loaded with 3 adults and two children and gear.
Air conditioner on low all day.
Nothing on roof rack.
Drove 900km in 9.75hrs (of driving time), other than slowing down in some towns - all the trip was done on highways (going from sea level up to 1400m and back to sea level). Sat on 106km/hr most of the day.
Filled up several times during the day - each incremental figure was about the same - overall figure 900km & 103 litres (note the spelling - its not liters) = 11.4l/100km.
Travelled total of 550 miles, round trip, with 40 being in town at destination. On way high winds and 30-33 degrees F. On way back 60 degrees declining to 40, with mild winds. Same route, same cruise control settings 19.0 mpg on way including around town in LaCrosse WI, 24.0 on way back to nearest 1/10 of a mpg. Six adult passengers, luggage on board (packed to gills). Still very happy with vehicle with about 9K total miles.
