A high pitched noise/whine has started emanating a couple weeks ago from the engine compartment of my 2011 Kia Sedona 3.5L. I can't figure out exactly where it's coming from but it's definitely near the serpentine belt. The sound increases as the RPM goes up. A few of you have mentioned the idler pulley. Others mention the tensioner pulley. I'd like to get an idea before I drop it off at the local dealership before the warranty expires in 2 months
And can someone recommend a Kia service shop in the San Francisco Bay Area? The closest one to my residence is the local Ford dealership and they only picked up Kia in the past year. I'm not sure how seasoned they are and their online reviews have been brutal.
