I had the the front sway bar links replaced at 59,000 km (36,662 miles) under warranty, no hassle, they already had the parts in stock as there had been some premature wear on these parts.
On my Focus, I could tell the sway bar links were bad from the knocking and popping over bumps and while turning tight, you could hear the popping. I replaced mine with stronger links that had a grease fitting. Doesn't look like Rockauto carries links for the Rondo with those fittings, though. They are cheap, though ($18 to $26USD) and easy to replace.
I had the links replaced this morning under warranty. Does anyone know if the replacements are the same links with poor quality or is the problem truly fixed? On a side note, the service advisor reminded me that the links replacement is officially the last warranty repair under the "bumper to bumper" portion of the warranty. I can't believe I bought it just over five years ago. The way he said it to me was weird, almost like he was warning me that the remaining five years factory warranty on the powertrain isn't as great as it sounds. Sorry to sound confusing. He was implying the car is going to have a lot of problems that won't be covered under the powertrain warranty, which I know. Then a salesman came into the waiting area and tried to talk me into looking at a Soul. Dealerships can be so funny even if they are frustrating at times.
