Default Kayaks on a Rondo roof rack anyone??

Hello Rondo drivers,

I just had a Kia roof rack installed on my 2007 Rondo. They Kia rep assured me that, yes yes I can put kayak adapters from any manufacturer on those bars. Really? I haven't attempted that yet, but those bars seem very wide to me. I'm just about to purchase a pair of (used) Thule "J" shaped kayak adapters but I wonder..
Does anyone out there carry kayaks on their Rondo? What equipment did you choose and from what maker? And does it work ? (as in: Is it solid and reliable?). For years I carried a pair of kayaks on my little Honda Civic without a problem. Now, I'd like the same for the Rondo.
Thank you

to the forum with your first posting, however, as this is a world wide forum, its critical that you fill out your profile with your location and also details on your Rondo, this way it will show up with every posting and is a big help to members reading your comments to be able to relate to this information - (sorry I can't help you on your question, I don't use the roof rack - have you tried using the search feature?)

I have successfully used the Yakima universal mighty mounts - they fit the crossbars with no problems. I'm assuming there's a Kayak-carrying mount that could fit those, but i never tried myself.
