Default Passenger comfort level in third row

I would like to throw this out for those who are regularly loading up the Rondo with 7 passengers. How is the comfort level of the 2 folks in the third row? On visual inspection, I cannot imagine fully grown adults seating comfortably in those two seats, although kids may fit in. Is it feasible to take long trips with 7 passengers?

Also, when the third row is up, is there any cargo space left at all?

Would love to get inputs from everybody.

Adults fit fine across town, but it wouldn't be comfortable for long trips. A kid should be fine for a trip. Again, it isn't a mini-van, but still usable for space. You lose almost all luggage space with the 3 rows up and occupied. Get a roof rack or trailer or hitch mounted rack if you need luggage capacity with 7 passengers on occasion. If you regularly haul 7 passengers with luggage a mini-van might be better.

The 3rd row is only suitable for pre-schoolers to teens. There is not much room back there at all. I sat back there once on a medium trip and would never do it again. I am 6'2" though. Cargo space virtually disappears with the third row up. Large enough for some small duffel bags but that's it.

Even if you put kids back there I would not unless they are big enough for a booster seat. There is no latch or anchor system on the third row for regular child seats. Many Rondo owners have said their kids love the 3rd row and are quite content back there. There is a power outlet there to run their gadgets as well as cup holders and little storage bins.

It's not a van but the maximum ideal full load of passengers would be 4 adults and 3 children. Otherwise it would get uncomfortable.

Recently my 13 year old nephew road about 110 miles and he wasn't very comfortable. Of coarse he is used to a 06 Esclade that my brother drives.
We only got the 3rd row for just the quick p/u's of kids and if they have friends that want to come over. Anything beyond that I think it's a stretch.
If I were a kid I would have begged to be back there but today.......... They need the DVD, Play Station and recliners.

Default Not for full grown adults

Yep, like all the other post, I'm 6' and I can't fit in the seat, my wife is 5'4" and she okay with the third row but don't like the hard seat. My 11 years old loves the third row, and spend many hours doing the trek between Ottawa and Toronto with a Nintendo in hand...

I find it pretty remarkable that a car this size has a usable 3rd row. It is well worth the money for the extra incidental short term carrying capacity. In fact, it was the primary reason I bought my Rondo, along with slightly the higher roofline.

Me too. I got stuck a couple of times with my old car needing a sixth seat, and so even if I had never used the third row (but I have) it would make me feel good just to have it.

At 5'10" I think I am about the limit of what height will fit in the third row (might vary with torso length mind you). And I don't find the comfort too bad.

My mom who is considerably smaller actually nailed the comfort issue back there - it's the fact that the seats are close to the floor so all your weight is on your bum, nothing carried by your thighs. I also can't take having my hips flexed for very long. Most people back there have no serious complaints.
