Y The cloth seats are firm and comfy too, but they stain so easily it is ridiculous. That is my only complaint with the car to date.
Have you tried Scotch-guarding the seats? I've had no problems in this area to date, maybe they did some changes on the '08 models to solve this problem.

I Scotch guarded my seats in the fall. The second row seats are a mess from the kids. I haven't had time to clean the car since spring arrive but I will be curious to see if I can get the stains out.
Great deal Krankor! I hope to be so lucky in the future.
Hubby and I have decided to wait a bit longer before buying. We are still pretty much sold on the Rondo though. However, with gas prices climbing and some unexpected home repairs, we have decided to hang on to the Mazda a while longer. It's a shame because I really think we could get the dealer down on the price and make a great deal. I'll have a beautiful new Rondo in my driveway eventually I'm sure!
Thanks so much to all who took the time to respond.

Any recent Rondo purchasers in the Greater Toronto Area?
Hi,
We're still trying to become proud Rondo owners. We've heard that Canadian Kia dealers are starting to clear out 2008 models. Yet the Kia dealers we have visited barely want to budge on original 2008 full pricing. We would prefer the EX V6 premium luxury model with 7 seats, leather interior and sunroof. Has anyone bought something similar in the G.T.A. recently?
Then when we see the prices American forum members have been able to find (and we realize it isn't quite comparing oranges to oranges because of subtle model differences) but rough comparables seem to be $4000 - $5000 apart! Kia Canada's website doesn't spell out any dealer rebates which we have found do exist from a couple of dealers.
What do you think is a fair 2008 price in the G.T.A. now?
Sorry I can't help with Canadian pricing, but I'll give you my recent buying experience here in the states. I got a new 2007 Rondo EX V6 with leather package, premium package (sunroof / Infinity CD Changer), bumper protector and cross bars for $17,058. The original sticker was $23,335. The final price listed on the paper work was $21,558, minus $4500 in rebates and incentives. I did not spend a lot of time haggling over price - I'm sure someone who is willing to haggle more might be able to do better. But I still felt like I got a good deal. The price was better than what I saw on some used Rondos, and it came with the full warranty.
I only had one problem - the dealer put the crossbars on backwards, and it created a strange whistling noise at highway speeds. I thought it was a problem with the sunroof, because everytime I opened the sunroof the noise went away. But I guess that just changed the aerodynamics enough to eliminate the noise. Once they switched the cross bars to their proper position everything was okay.
Tax and license were extra. Although I give the dealership credit for not tacking on a bunch of nonsense fees or unwanted extras like "paint protection" or undercoating. They did try to sell me an extended warranty, which I politely declined.

If gas is a concern, I would consider the 4 cylinder model. I get 26-27 mpg with my 4 driving 75-80 on the highway. I can get 30 if I drive 60-65.
