Hi to all. This is another proud owner of Carens III (aka Rondo) from Singapore. Have taken delivery of this ride for about 3 months, previous ride being the Nissan Versa which we called Latio Sports here. Reason to 'upgrade' was due to increase in family size, else Versa is definitely roomy.
I have basically no complain about this ride except for the relatively higher FC. Over here the only engine option is a 2L petrol version, unlike in USA/Canada that comes with 2.4L/2.7L. But it is of no problem as it is definitely sufficient for such a small island state.
Beside a faulty wiper water pump, the only other grouse since taken delivery is that of 'warm' aircon. Imagine the 4 aircon vents in dashboard blowing air of 4 climate zones from very cold to cold to cool to warm! I tolerated for a while and just got it improved during the 5000km servicing. Seems like the car did not have it aircon valves calibrated properly from factory as the aircon technican did some calibration and it worked much better. However, the 2 air vents at the driver side still blow much stronger air compare to the passenger side. So the 'remedy' now is to partially close the 2 driver side vents so that part of the air get channelled to the passengers' vents.

I will monitor it for now till the 10,000km servicing. If still not satisifed, then I will request for the hot-water pipe bypass job to be done on the aircon system. It will reult in super cold air but I will lose the ability to control the temperature any more. So that will be the last resort. (but I definitely do not need the hot-air function as it is summer here all year round)
Anyway, I have been feeding off this forum for a while and really share your enthusiasm on this wonderful car. Unfortunately here in Singapore, Korean cars are still looked upon as second class compares to japanese cars like Mazda5, Honda Stream, and Toyota wish the like. The Kia Carens III is still a small market player in this market saturated with many MPVs.
Nice talking to you. My apologies for the long rumblings.
