Question Wear and tear coverage?

I'm about to sign a three-year lease on a new 2008 Kia Rondo EX 5-seater. Kia Quebec promotions were ending today. Of course dealer tries to sell you a bunch of extras including a «Wear and Tear» program offered by Financialinx. I find the $750. price very high for a policy that covers a maximum of $3500. wear and tear at end of lease. Dealer says it's a good deal as many people end up having to pay for 4 new tires and more upon returning vehicle.
Any of you Canadian friends have had experience with this particular product KIA tries to sell its new lease customers?

Consumer reports and such always recommend to pass on extended warranties. However, Financialinx is well know to be sticklers on damage and wear items when a vehicle is returned. Take pictures and clean it before you take it back and keep a good record of all maintenance work you do. Other than wear items the car will still be covered by warranty when you return it, unless you go way over your kms and breach the 100,000kms mark. I recommend taking the 24,000kms lease rather than the 20,000kms lease. Statistics show the average driver drives 24,000kms per year.
