Default test drove a v6 that pulled to the right

Thanks to everyone who has been alerting us to this problem. We were looking at purchasing a 2008 Rondo V6 and we took one for a long test drive and on all types of road surfaces it did indeed pull to the right (or as my husband says a persistant drift to the right). This was at the Kia dealership in Vancouver and I noted that the car was manufactured in Nov. 2007

Since the manufacture date seems to be important here I have an idea. If everyone who I have listed on the first post with the problem could give me the manufacture date of their Rondo I will post it there for enhanced information. I'll post mine tonight.

Hi Narvo my date of manufacture is March 2007
Had mine in for service yesterday and the Service Manager would not confirm that there is a service bulletin regarding this problem from Kia Canada!
He talked all around the subject and suggested that the problem is the roads that I drive on!

First post updated. The Kia Rep told me about the service bulletin. He was going to give me a copy of it but I never got one. I might have to follow up on that. Tell the Service Manager that this info came from a regional rep and you want a copy of it.

Please bare with my silly question but if I bought a new 2008 V6 Rondo now and picked and chose my features would they have to make it new for me so I wouldn't have this issue?

no such thing as a silly question on this site (besides we've all gone through it), that's why us "older" members are here to help.
As far as know with KIA, you can't really place a factory order as such, like with some of the manufacturers that build in North America (however, that could change when they get their Georgia plant in operation). The shipment of vehicles arrive by the boat load in Vancouver (I think) for KIA Canada and then distributed to main lots across Canada.
Because the Rondo is quite limited to variations on models, its generally not to difficult to get what you want, as overall there is not a lot to pick and choose from. In the case of a V6 you only have three choices EX-V6 in either 5-seater or 7 and if you choose a 7-seater you have only two choices - EX-V6 or Luxury model.
Accessories are generally all dealer installed.

In the case of the issue, the newer the manufacturers date the better, not sure if its been strictly a 2007 issue or not, I think they were trying to establish if that was a possibility. Apparently it appears an issue from day one, so if you do a good test drive you should know if it exists (not everyone has the problem on the V6).

this attachment may give you some better idea of what happens with the vehicle.

thanks for the great information. I am currently going through this exact problem and am loosing patience with KIA. I have had 2 alignments and a service advisor even claimed that this is natural to prevent a car from heading into oncoming traffic if a driver falls asleep!! That was probably after the service bulletin was issued. I swear I'm developing carpul-tunnel from constantly having to hold the car straight. This should end up as a recall as a car should never force itself off the road in normal driving conditions. I'm curious if anyone has done an all-season tire change? I own winter tires and they do not change the problem in any way.

I had the problem both on my OEM tires and snow tires. Actually the softer snow tires exaggerated the problem. Your right, it should be a recall. I would definitely classify it as a safety issue. Riderprider can I get your manufacture date? It's on the inside jam of the driver's door.

I have just noticed mine as started pulling to the left and when it hits 60mph the steering wheel starts th judder.
I will have to take it to my nearest dealer, the only problem is, it's a 50mile round trip.
They will look at it, they will then say I will have to re-book it to have it repaired, so another 50 mile round trip.
When Deisel is £131.9 a litre, it does not come cheap.
