Default HID Kit install on Rondo

I was wondering if anyone installed a HID Conversion KIT for Rondo?

I know lighting as it is good, but it would be even better.

One thing I did not like is in low beam sharp cutoff of lighting. It is completely dark. It really bothers me, as I can not see people walking on dark local streets until I come close.

I thought of changing the bulbs with OSRAM Sylvania Xtravisions, but I saw several HID kits for very cheap price online, so I was tempted.

Also, I am not sure what kind of bulbs it currently has, and how they are comparable to Xtravision bulbs.

BTW, I am not looking for those crazy blue lights(4300k max), I want more light, not blue, voilet or reds etc etc.

Also another thought, how about installing a HID Fog lamps? But it seems the slot for FOG lamps are dummiedup, I guess so we need a different Fog Lamp slot covers if they are not part of bumper.

Any ideas and advice?

I find the low beam cutoff fantastic - the wide beam picks up everything on both sides of the road and have no problem with visibility, maybe they are not aligned correctly? If its that dark turn on the high beams

Regarding your fog lights, (I have the EX so they are standard) but I am going off memory (not always good ), but very early on when I joined this forum (and others) I seem to recall someone showing pictures of the installation of fog lights using the existing dummy plug and I think it was a set of lights from Wal-Mart (round style), that just fit nicely in the existing hole (round section after cutting) - wish I could find the link for you - maybe someone else could remember this?

Thumbs down H11B (no HID kits)

Hello chitti1

As for HID kits. If the reports are correct Rondo uses the brand new very rare H11B head lamp and nobody makes a HID kit for this bulb yet. You are lucky if the guy behind the counter knows what you are talking about. Sorry

So, are we out of luck? Also looks like Canadian version comes with DRLs, but not mine.

I will try to find more info and update the thread.

Thanks
