Particulate Filter Warning Light

19th June: I decided to go back to 'basics' as I was getting nowhere with the service dept of the dealer & Kia UK so I bent the ear of the original salesman, in the end a good idea on my part!

He has just rung back, they have ordered a new dpf 'system' (an integral part of the exhaust) which Kia UK say will be delivered to the dealer tomorrow by 2pm. I will book the car in for this to be fitted next week once I know the part arrived ok & then we can see what effect this has.

Update: Had the new dpf system fitted on Wed minus a pipe the parts dept didn't order! Had the new pipe fitted this morning (Fri) & now the warning light stays out & the 'lurching' has gone. I'll do a brim to brim mpg check over the weekend & report back.

It took too long, I had to chase & almost lose my temper with both the dealer & Kia, let's hope it's solved the problem permanently!
