I just purchased my first Kia and it's a new 2007 Rondo EX V6. My wife and I happened upon one at a local auto show this winter and we were immediately impressed with its design, features, safety, and fit/finish. The excellent warranty was also a big selling point for us.
Anyway, I shopped around and think I got a tremendous deal on ours at $14,688 + tax. MSRP was $21,135 and options are a bumper step protector, crossbars, and cargo tray.
We also have a 2002 Ford Focus wagon. The Focus has been very good to us so far and has met our needs nicely. However, in my limited experience so far, the Rondo is definitely more refined and more comfortable.

congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum, we look forward to your feedback.
The Ford Fucus wagon was on our original list of vehicle considerations, but when they dropped it (and the hatchback) for 2008 that stopped me from a visit to the Ford showroom. I owned a Topaz 5-speed for a number of years and found it pretty reliable.

Another new owner here - already have to say thanks for all the good info I read on this board prior to purchasing! This is really the wife's vehicle and she is definitely liking it so far - overall size and handling are much better than our '04 Sienna. Only regret so far is we didn't get the cargo cover or window tinting included in the deal.
Our deal was on a USA '07 EX V6 5p w/premium, leather, bumper cover, cargo mat, and roof rails. MSRP $23,335 US. $3k cash back plus $1.5k 'competitive bonus' (we also have a mazda protege) plus ~$1.1k dealer discount brought the 'selling price' to ~$17,700. Adding the tax (6% in PA) and registration/plate (~$150) got me 'out the door' at $18,929. Maybe not the absolute best deal, but the dealer was also able to get me 4.74% financing - lowest I found on my own was 5.29%.
Other than the fact that the sales manager initially said he couldn't find an '07 to dealer trade and then changed his tune when confronted with info right of kia's website, I was pretty satisfied with the deal - more importantly, so is the wife!

glad we could help and congratulations to the wife for a fine purchase. It would be interesting to get her feed back too on the vehicle from a woman's point of view, as I know my wife looks at vehicles quite a lot different than I do.
