Hi,
So, of course I'm looking to get the best price possible but also wondering whether you have any suggestions on which dealership to go to (or which you've had good experiences with).
Thanks!
Hello Critical
I've dealt with 2 of the 4 KIA dealers in the area... Here is what I think...
BTW your experience may varies
Bank Street KIA.
I live blocks away from this place and been snooping around it for months, along with the Mazda dealer (i.e. I was looking a the 5 as well). They do like to make deals, but the sales guy from both the KIA and Mazda "creeps me and my wife out..." The KIA guy was a bit too eager and the Mazda guy was way too worry about his upcoming vacation to care, plus he give some wrong info. Not a good thing in the age of internet....
Donnelly Kia
Too Far. Sorry No Data
Promenade Kia
Quebec side, Worry about getting the car over the boarder....
KIA 417
The sales guy is really good, know his product and know what was on the lot. A good sales, got me to a payment I'm happy with and a good trade in for my hunk of junk minivan. The business manager offer all the extra bit, but didn't force it on. A nice point. I know that the dealer makes a good chunk of change on the "extras". Nice be able to say "no thank you" and mean it...
The delivery could have gone a bit better, but I blame half of that on the Christmas holidays and the other half on inexperience on the part of the sales guy...
After sales... No data. It only been 2 months
I really would have like to get my Rondo at Bank Street because it is so close to where I live, but at the end I went with KIA 417, not because of the deal, (At Bank Street they were throwing numbers at me...) but because the sales guy did a good job of presenting the car. I'm hoping that the after sales is as good as the buying... Anyway, do your research, Have fun, and
I bought my '07 Kia V6 EX with 3rd row seat a few days ago for $17,467.16 out the door (including tax, license, etc) from Peak Kia in Denver. The dealer initially was initially $1,000 higher and I left without the car. He called me back in an hour and a half later and we did the deal. I paid cash with no trade in (selling that on my own) and hammered out what I think is a pretty good deal.
If you are in Denver or nearby, check out Peak Kia. They are moving out the inventory, big time.

Sounds like you got a great deal, could you break down the details of the price as I'm not sure what the sales tax is in Denver. Would love to see a section here for prices paid.

welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new set of wheels. I sure like that colour and if it was available in Canada it would have been my choice, but then again you don't have my colour (Aqua Silver) in the US.

My bad, my Kia is an LX V6, not an EX V6. Anyway, reading right off the sales sheet, this is how it broke down:
Selling Price....................$18,400.00
Vehicle theft registration...$ 199.50 (snuck that one in on me..)
Dealer handling................$ 398.75
County tax.....................$ 189.98
RTD tax.........................$ 227.98 (why am I paying for a bus while I buy a Kia?
State tax.......................$ 550.95
Rebate..........................($ 2,500.00)
Total OTD price...............$17,467.16
From the sound it it, they are pushing even more of a discount on the 4 cylinder LX models as they had over 20 of those on the lot. My car was the only 7 seater and it has the V6, so I paid a bit of a comparative premium for it. Still pleased with the deal though. We plan to drive it 10 years anyway. It is replacing a 10 year old Mazda MPV, so we are right on schedule

Thanks for breaking it down, been shopping the Rondo's for a while now, here the only model's they are slashing prices on is the base LX, why they have them here I don't know as you definitely need it here.

and also got lifetime total protection coverage on it for no additional charge from the
dealer. This includes:
Every 7500 miles:
oil and filter
lube chassis
rotate tires
inspect brakes
inspect belts
inspect tranny fluid
inspect shocks
instect steering
test battery
check all lamps
inspect wiper blades and try to sell you new ones
top off fluids
every 30000
oil and filter
lube chassis
rotate tires
fluids
new air filter
repalce spark plugs
inspect brakes
inspect hoses and belts
instect shocks
test battery
inspect wiper blades and try to sell you new ones
Ya did good. 4K in rebates? Wow. I had an option of 2.5K rebate or 1.9 APR financing.
Anyway, given the price of new cars, the Rondo represents a helluva value overall. It has also got to be one of the least expensive vehicles with electronic stability control available.
