I could take issues on a few points but not a bad overall view, but I'm sure if they contacted MedicineMan first they would have got even more web findings.

Under hard acceleration, however, it [the four banger] becomes noisy and harsh, especially when the vehicle is fully loaded. In that case, forget about flexibility and discretion; the engine screams as if there were no tomorrow, producing more sound than power.
Consequently, takeoffs are longish and passing maneuvers are even longer. Fortunately, the Rondo is also available with a V6 that's not only more powerful but also better suited for a family-oriented vehicle like this one.
Likewise, I felt that the brakes were hesitant under pressure, resulting in longer stopping distances.
This is probably the first review I've read in which the braking is criticized.
I certainly don't find that on my 4 cylinder lots of power and performance with 4 adults on board. Sure, the typical 4 cylinder noise when it drops a gear but lots of power to back it up. No passing problems with this engine.
Like this quote on the article:
The Rondo will never be considered as a premium car or a prestigious minivan, but as far as comfort, functionality and efficiency are concerned, it proves to be a safe pick and one of the best-valued vehicles on the market.

The Ronda is one of the smoothest, most positive breaking vehicles I've ever driven. Period. And I have owned and driven a ton of cars through 58 years.

I see you are trying to sort out that nissmazlover on Edmonds
(that sure is a poor site for tracking conversations and knowing where people live and what they drive, also no avatars or signatures, no wonder it doesn't have as many postings as this one)

Sad thing is that there are some posters on Edmund's that don't know how to post a review in a constructive manner, thank goodness there are others who do know how to post a review that helps individuals decide for themselves which vehicle might fit their needs.
There were no options on our test vehicle, just a $150 "colour charge" for the black paint. Maybe this was tacked on because so much paint had been used, resulting in the worst case of orange peel I’ve seen on a new car in quite some time.
All in all, however, a positive review:
Quote:
This is the second time Kia has knocked everyone’s socks off with the quality, affordability and drivability of one of its new models. First it was the Sedona minivan, now it’s Rondo.
Maybe one day we’ll smarten up and stop being surprised.

(BTW, I hope some of you guys are saying what needs to be said at Edmunds. I'm not following up on that thread 'cause--this might come as a surprise--I'm a bit of a windbag and it wastes too much of my time saying all that I want to say.)

yes I've got my two cents worth in there, just asked "you know who" where's his proof other than his perceived observations and from other owners. We'll see what he has to say to that
I like this quote: Boy, was I surprised. Although it exhibited lots of body lean in the corners, the Rondo hung on like a cat on carpet and could be tossed about with abandon.
It didn’t win its category - that honour went to the 2008 Honda Accord - but Rondo created a lot of fans among Canada’s motoring press and was one of TestFest’s most talked-about vehicles.
