I just read the negative review you linked to. It almost seems to me that the Kia badge on the car was the main problem. Far be it from me to suggest that everyone will like the Rondo/Carens but it sounds a little embellished.
I have read that Blog post too ... and it seems that there is nothing in life of this man that will make him happy. I was ready to write a comment but .... i just left it be.
As OregonBruin mentioned not everyone will like the car but this was a bit too much, in my opinion.

The Rondo is picked as "Dad's favorite," "Best Dog Wagon," etc., in this great review of station wagons by The Car Family. Also mentioned in this review are the Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe, Mazda5, Chev HHR and other vehicles of the same ilk.
No, I don't have a manual lumbar support either. There are some things not on the Canadian 2008 EX model which are still listed in the current brochure in my dealership and on the Kia website - the lumbar support, illuminated glove box and cargo area lamp. This has been discussed elsewhere on the Forum. It is surprising that Kia hasn't bothered to correct this when they know about it since I would think they could be accused of misleading advertising.
As it happens I have the 2007 model so I am not suffering from the plague of the disappearing features. I just don't think the lumbar support was ever there in the first place. If anyone has it I'd be interested in knowing where it is or what it looks like!
not really sure myself, but I do know that there is a lot more support in the lower part of the seat back in comparison to my previous vehicle - so if that's the case, its there! Maybe its what you are used to on your previous vehicle.
