Since we are on the topic of stereo removal ... does anyone know if a deck from US manufactured Rondo with MP3 and in-Dash 6CD changer would work in a Canadian model ?
Greg
I would have thought that a mp3 player would make an in-dash 6 CD obsolete, and also if you were going to change wouldn't one with also a USB port be more sense. I know if I changed my unit thats the way I would go.
Why don't you just transfer all your mp3 CD's to the iPOD? Not sure on its capacity but I'm sure its way more than one mp3 CD. I know when I used mp3's on my other vehicle, it held about 250 songs (actually it would hold more but the player was limited to play only that many tracks). My mp3 player holds 2GB which is well over 1200 tracks.

You are absolutely right, that an IPod or any kind of music player would do just fine, and CDs are on a verge of bing extinct I will not argue with out on any of these points. It might be hard to explain my way of thinking as my wife says that i can be 'complicated' but i like things to be in one place and having wires and cables drives me nuts. I have Sirius radio and cables that are dangling on the console distract me and make the inside look ... cluttered.
I like the stock radio, it works for me ... for the most part, would be nice to have these extra features such as mp3/6cd changer ... but it will have to do. I will most likely replace it down the road if i will not be able to get US stock radio.

Greg, I drove the Rondo today and never noticed any feedback through our DVD players sound. It does do it in our Santa Fe though.
I think it might be that the AUX port might be loose, or at least some wires. I noticed that if i wiggle the cable it comes and goes. I will have to look into that but that will have to wait until i get back from my vacation
Thank you for the update

Hello Rondo Owners
I have a 2007 Rondo LX model which does not include mp3.
I want to listen to my ipod.
I have tried the FM Transmitter thing and it sounds terrible.
Any advice on something other than replacing the current stereo.
Instead of using an FM transmitter, you could use an FM modulator. It is one option if you don't want to replace the stereo. I put a link below to one example.
