Hi all, First of all I am from Brunei and own a 2007 Carens CRDI. To Schnauzer is the engine totally different from the previous Carens cos we have lots of issues especially poor reliability. Where can we get accessories and body kits to make it looks sportier. I am very satisfied with the performance especially after installing it with TDC power box with 167hp and 365NM of torque.

Yes, engine is not from the old model and is highly refined. No, I have no idea about mods. Sorry.
Greetings from Canada, where I drive a Rondo EX (Carens) 2.4 Litre I-4 with 4 speed auto box.
I received worse than bad looks from the front passenger seat when I found but 150km/hr in the 4000 rpm range...
I went tru Kia Canadian and US site and they do not carry the Diesel options due to high emission controls. The only diesel that passed the test is Merc E320 Blu Tec which has got a smog particle filter. The redline on my CRDI is 4500rpm where as its 6000 or 6500 rpm on your 2.4l petrol. The gear ratio is different since diesel has about 50% more torque. For a full tank the range on mine is 650KM and cost US$11 for 55ltrs.
hi i have been told that the engine in my neighbours caren crdi 0n a 2003 plate doesn't have glow plugs is this ture and if so how would this work. as she was using the kia it was running with no problems she parked up went in doors for an hour went back out to use it and it wouldn't start does any one have any ideas, no warning light have come on there is fuel what could be wrong a friend that works in a garage has never worked on kias before but is mechanical minded is there anything he could check or do to get this kia running.

That is true, we do not have diesel option. Would be nice to but the refineries are paying into the automakers so they have to keep making gas models. 55 litres in canada would could me today $60.
Just to reiterate what Kia333 is saying about Kia distributors here in the Philippines. Just bought a carens crdi, but before that I almost cancelled the purchase when I found out that the carens released here has no ABS when it is being offered as standard elsewhere. Surely, we deserve those "standard" features just like everyone else. Kia has a lot of potential here, but as Kia333 said, giving us "castrated" units here surely gives Kia a bad bad name. On the other hand, hyundai is going strong here because the distribution is a lot better. I think this things deserve more attention the soonest time possible.
