Hi there. I am new to this forum and got in cos I was thinking of changing to the new Carens2.0 auto with the CVVT engine and wanted feedback from anyone who is driving this model.

Right now I am driving the Rio 1.5 sedan. I got the car in Jan03 and it has gone for several of its normal servicing. I do not the problems that some of you are having.
The fc for the car is approx 1litre to 12.5km. I do not use as a sports car but just to transport me and the wife to/fro from work-normally.Take the family out on the weekends. Occasionally there is that long trip to KL on the N-S highway where the fc is exceptional even when the car is fully loaded with 4 adults and three kids-5+ and 2 2+yrs old and the boot filled to the max.

One problem i used to have (very early on) was that the rear passenger door would unlock while i was driving alone (thank goodness). It took two trips ( a month apart) to the agents before it stop recurring. I trulyhope it does not happen again ( to anyone elese too).

the kids are bigger now, not to mention myself, so a bigger car is needed. Kia has been allright for us thus far. The pricing, comfort and tech assisstance from the agents here have been all right. The reason why i stated to check on the Carens was that i heard that the fc was not good on the 1.8 version. Anybody got any news on comfort for the third, overall ride,fc,etc - good or bad - on the new Carens? else i will probably go for another one.

thanks.
