How many exhaust systems have you had fitted in the 20K miles, I've had 3 and a new clutch. Beat that if you can.

Hi EddieC, just wondering is your Carens Auto or Manual transmission..

Sorry to hear that about your exhaust, more of us usually mod the exhaust to have more power when its a straight thru. But the authority here doesn't allow this type of mod...

Just to share, I just did my 40K servicing and total damage is RM397.30

Job done
1) Change oil filter...................RM13.70
2) Petronas syntium 800 .........RM79.00
3) Oil treatment.......................RM14.00
4) Petrol treatment..................RM13.00
5) Fuel filter .............................RM63.60 (Location is under the chassis beside the fuel tank)
6) Transmission oil...................RM32.00 (3 LTRS)
7) Brake oil...............................RM17.00 (Tedious job of pumping and stepping the brake)
8) Power steering oil................RM120.00 (Also time consuming job of pumping oil and sucking out the oil)
9) Labour charge......................RM45.00 (Standard..ask the guy to tighten the belting at the same time.. )

Thing didn't change are the spark plug and air filter...

All in all it took about 2 hours to complete the jobs ...

After 28,700 miles the brakes pads needed replacing.

Costs are

£67 labour
£115 Front + rear pads

£182 Total cost...

Not too bad as the quote as for £210.

Was this a similar cost to the 10k service?

£264 is less than we paid for a dealer service on our 1994 Vauxhall Corsa...

We are currently at just over 6K so still have time to save up :P
