We own a Kia Carens yr 2002 model. We have been facing a few problems since the start. Firstly the fuel consumption is relatively high 6km/L ~ 7 km/L average.
Secondly the car loss a lot of power during uphill driving and the acceleration from still is really frustrating.
This car has been sent for servicing regularly. Lately the acceleration dropped tremendously even after service even we step very hard on the fuel paddle.
The AT seems not able to the switch gear when we we uphill and now also on the even road.

The last thing, the air conditioning takes longer time to cool and the air is low? What seems to be the problem.? Facing this issue since the start.

Anyone can comment and advise.

If I assume that you have own your Carens since Jan2002.
Then I would probably you need to have the service guys
top up your aircon gases?

For the AT. Have your mileage reached 40,000KM? If it had, then,
perhaps time to change the AT oil.

Best Regards,

Guys, the carens have an aircon airfilter. It located behind the glove compartment box. You need to check if its still clean or dirty. If its dirty it will block the air passage...
