Current owner of a 2012 Sorento. The Sorento has been great, but we don't need 2 SUVs now...so time for a car again. Been looking at the 2015 Cadenza Limited for when the Sorento lease expires in a couple of months. Narrowed it down to 3 choices, 2015 Acura TLX Advance, 2015 Audi A4 Prestiege, or the 2015 Cadenza Limited.
The Cadenza seems to be the best value by far of course, especially considering all the content it brings standard. On par with our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit feature wise.
How has everyone's experience been so far? Likes and/or dislikes? Any issues in particular?
All of the reviews I have read so far have been positive ones.
Not that many Cadenza owners as it is a new car and the cost is pretty high and the majority of the first time posters are "do it yourselfers" or people looking for answers to "problems"...none would have your comments...
I have read that the Cadenza has received excellent reviews on quality and reliability.
I have to older KIAs (Spectras) and they have been the best cars we have owned and I'm 65... Can't afford that model.
Dave
not surprised, it does not have high volume like other models and it's not been around very long, also those type of owners probably do not frequent forums.
I have read a lot of reviews on this model and have also sat in one and photographed it (amazing back seat room), and its most impressive. All the reviews seem to highly rate the vehicle, and received many accolades - seems to be very underrated. The only way you will know for sure is to take it for a test drive.
Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah, it seems not a lot of activity on this particular forum. It's a beautiful car indeed, and the general reviews from the auto rags have been positive.
I am going to look at and test drive one later this afternoon. They have some really good incentives on them right now.
Well I took the plunge, traded the Sorento for a 2015 Cadenza Limited (Black/Black) on Saturday! I have to say, it's a beautiful car, and drives so smoothly! Too many bells and whistles to count! Just bummed that I had to leave it parked this morning to make a trip to CA! Looking forward to exploring it more when I get back at end of the week.
I just got one in November; very pleased with this car so far but depends on what you are looking for.
It is every bit an alternative to a Lexus ES 350. In other words a neo-luxury car in FWD configuration. But you can't beat the price and value of the Cadenza with warranty.
I call it my "Korean E-Class"; it is really not quite a Mercedes but I'm getting a lot of luxury ride, features, good looks for a very low ownership cost. I have not regretted one thing about buying it.
I have my smokey blue SXL for just shy of a year and have put on over 13K miles. I have had one issue to date, a faulty O2 sensor. It did not strand me and I had a good dealer experience getting it repaired. I do not consider that incident as a detractor from the vehicle.
The only fault I find with the vehicle if you could even classify it as such is that I would prefer the car to have DRL's but that is a preference more than a criticism.
Aside from great handling, acceleration and driving dynamics, there are four things I really like, they are: Seating is very comfortable in all seating positions especially driver comfort on long range trips which I make frequently, stereo system is very rich sounding, vibration free at the levels I listen to (Loud), Dynamic cruise control is a great invention, I use it ALL the time , and GPS is by far the easiest and most comprehensive feature set I have had. I could go on with likes but you get the point.
In every other measure, I love this vehicle and think it is by far the best all around vehicle I have owned. I have had a Lexus 400h, Infiniti FX 35, and a Landrover to name three luxury or near luxury brands I have owned and this Cadenza blows them all away on so many levels including comfort, quietness, buttoned down performance and feature set.
You wont be sorry with the vehicle choice if it is a sedan you are seeking. The other ones you mentioned I would blow right past on my way to the Kia dealership to buy a Cadenza.
My next car will likely be a K900 and I am not bragging when I say this but I could be shopping for an E class Mercedes or a BMW mid range or any other luxury brand car in the 50-60K range but why would I when the Kia delivers as much or more for less including better reliability ratings and an excellent ownership experience here in the Orlando area.
