[attachmentid=904]I have a 04 Amanti with the dreaded Cluncking front end noise. Well, I had the noise. They fixed it today. After replacing all bushings, new A-arms and struts they finally called a kia rep in and he advised the dealer on the new procedure to fix the front noise. I got a chance to talk to him. This is the procedure. 1st fix the car according to TSB # PS129243 dated 06-15-05. There is also an updated TSB for cars that allready had this done that states that Kia sent out wrong out dated parts the TSB # is TT810205-003. Make sure you have the correct 45mm collars and updated bushings. The final part of this repair is a sway bar spacer. It is actually the key to this repair. I don't have a part # for the sway bar spacer, nor is there a TSB for it, but Kia says they will have a TSB soon. The Kia rep informed me that in most cases even with the old bushings installed that the sway bar spacer installed helps the noise all on its own. He also told me that they are getting some noise in the front ends of early 05's and they just need to install the sway bar spacer. Good luck to every one that has this noise.

For you '04 owners out there (and early '05), the bushings and collar do help. (I have installed the upper bushings correctly now)

-Anyone have the part numbers for the sway bar spacers???

empirezclub - were they not on the paperwork for the repair?

Thanks

I am sorry for the delay. I have been busy with the Christmas stuff I need to do. I did recieve paperwork with the repair, but alls it said was my complaint and had a warrenty code next to a sentence that read something like "install sway bar spacer as per KMA". I will call the dealer and talk to my service writer and ask if he has a part number. I will also scan the repair order so you can see what it said. It will be in the next few days since I will be busy with the holidays. This spacer is the key to eliminating the noise. I haven't heard anything from my front end.

Just called the service writer and he doesn't show a part number either. Kia nows about this problem so if you called there 800 number someone should have a part number listed somewhere. I will see what I can find out.

nope all they did was the rubber mount and steel sleeve which didn't do a thing but it was January 05 I think maybe february at the latest.

I am going to wait until me Sedona comes back out of the shop 1st so they don't have both at the same time.
