I traded in my 05 Sedona LX for a 07 Rio LX. I didnt really need the space in the van and I wanted something fun to drive. As you can tell I like blue. lol

i don't really don't like the body styles. I have no clue why. I like from the 01 to the 04 alot better. But you never know i mite start liking it, just like the new mustangs. There starting to rub off on me.
Thanks. For some reason Im not a big fan of hatchbacks. Not sure why though. I just ordered a set of mudflaps for it and just made an appt for a remote starter install becasue when it comes to going outside in the winter to start a car Im really lazy. lol
Other than that I dont have any plans for it till about this time next year when I am looking to upgrade the 14" wheels it has.
Really happy for you Spec SX on purchasing the new Rio! I think it is a better looking car in my opinion than the older generation Rio for many reasons including a sportier appearance. In surveys the Hyundai Accent gets fewer compliments about it looks while the Rio racks them up in many of our markets. The Rio is a major player for Kia.
Thanks guys. I agree with both of you guys. It is a gas saver. I have 520 miles on it and checked the gas mileage on it tonight. I got 31 mpg. I would have had better mileage but its pretty cold here right now and I let it run for a few minutes in the morning before I leave for work and again at night before I head home. I like the looks of the older generation Rios but like this new generation better. Its exactly what I wanted. An inexpensive car that gets good gas mileage that looks good. I drive it a few times a week to work so I dont put a million miles on my Spectra. When I had the Sedona I couldnt drive it to work too much because of the poor gas mileage it got.
I just bought my first Kia, a 55 plate Rio. It's second hand but only done 7,300 miles so virtually brand new. Only paid £6,799 for it, pretty good for a nearly new diesel! I'm well pleased with it, it's pretty quick and a good ride.
I find it really interesting how the American version looks so different to the British one, anyone know why? And how come the diesel isn't available in the States?

It looks different because he has an 07. The rio got a facelift in 06. No diesels here as we have tough emission laws here.

Hey,
My Rio's the newest shape over here, as it's what is on the forecourt brand new and on the Kia website. It's not the saloon like the US version, it's a hatchback...
How come all American cars look the same though?? They're all saloons that look like the way a child would draw a car...!
