Post Power Window Problems

I know someone here can help me out with so suggestions so here goes:

Over the past years, my rear windows stopped going down. It is so HOT out and I don't have AC, I have decided to do something about it. So, I had my friend (the mechanic) check out the windows to find out what the probelm is so I know what parts to buy. I was told it was the motors so I bought one and he installed it. It didn't work and I was told it is the motor on this new purchase part (purchased from KIA). There is power to the plug and there is power after the plug but the window wont work. So, I took that part back and got a new one and it was installed yesterday and I was told the same thing, the motor is not working. Now, I know there is a possibility that I got 2 bad ones in a row, but I think maybe unlikely. I was reading a lot of forums to see if others had this problem and found that it could be the relay, but I have power so maybe not, but it could be the ground wire, maybe it's the regulator but....So, I am asking for some help from the all knowing Kia owners here...Please help guide me on this one.
Also, my front passenger side window does not go down and my driver side had stopped working at one time (loose wire though).

When checking the windows, try operating them up and down from the master switch as well as each individual switch. This will expose a switch problem. Usually when a window will go in one direction, but not the other, the switch is bad. When you say there is power to the plug, do you mean the connector for the window motor?

It could help if you filled in your profile with the car/s you drive, and just maybe listed it in your thread.

If both rear windows and the front passenger side window don't work but the front driver side window works, you will be happy to hear that the "repair" is fast, easy and free. Kias and Hyundias have a window disable button that is located on the driver's door arm rest near the window and lock switches. In my Kia, it is located where you'd rest your arm, making it very easy to accidentally and unknowingly press it. (Bad design in my opinion.) Press that button that you don't ever use near your lock and window switches then check to see if your windows work. The button on the left in this picture is typical of the Kia window disable button: Google Image Result for http://thestar.blogs.com/.a/6a00d8341bf8f353ef014e5ff60eaf970c-800wi

The temperature inside your car can get insanely hot on sunny days, regardless of the temperature outside. When you get to your car and it's boiling hot, what's the first thing you do?
