Default KIA Customer Satisfaction Survey

Hi guys, I'm a potential new owner for a Kia Optima, but I know nothing of the company. I've been reading like crazy on here to get a better sense of this company, but I thought why not just throw up a simple poll to get the quickest results!

I'm interested in knowing how KIA--the company-- has treated you. I know experiences can vary greatly from dealership to dealership. That is why I ask that you constrain your thoughts solely to how the corporation has treated you, based on the advise, policies, guidelines, and best practices which heavily influence the quality of service you get from your dealership.

Anyway that's all. Sincere thank you in advance to all participants!

So here's the Survey:

1. From 1 to 10 (being best), how would you rate your experience with KIA --the company-- thus far?

2. Also, from 1 to 10, how would you rate your experiences with service?

3. What car do you own and how long have you owned your car?

4. What services and/or problems have you gone in for?

5. How likely would you recommend KIA to a friend or family member?

A very positive review, and we question the persons integrity ?

For service info register (free) with KiaTechInfo and click on 'Shop' on the left, and for elect schematics click on 'ETM'.

Quality and not quantity counts.

You're right, it is a very positive review.

I have never had a outrageously good experience with any car company or dealership I've had the "pleasure" of dealing with.

My comment was in jest, and I apologize for sounding skeptical.

3. 2013 Kia Sorento EX and I have only owned it for a few days. Before this vehicle I had a 2009 Kia Sportage AWD and before that a 2006 Kia Sportage AWD. All together I have been a Kia owner since July of 2006.
4. I have only needed to go into the service department for regular scheduled maintenance. I do the service work by the book and at my selling dealership. They have always provided great service and it is competitively priced.
5. I have recommended Kia to everyone that asks and a few family members own them too.

Overall I have had great luck with Kia. I do take good care of my vehicles and service them properly and I am certain that this helps. Good luck with your decision!

My evaluation:

1. Most owners dont have much involvment with the company, only its products. Therefore an evaluation here, is N/A

2. I give a 5 to service, I have used 2 dealers for my Kias, 1 of which was totally rude, always had an issue giving replacement under warranty, always had a excuse. The other, that I now currently use is great, give them specific a 8. (would have had a 10 if it wasnt for the lady at front counter with the "I hate mu job" attitude. The techs are great though.

3. I have owned 4 Kias, have been a Kia owner since 1998 models include
1999 Kia sephia- very low quality car, cheap transportation though, had many issues over the years.
2000 Kia Spectra gs- Basically the same car as the sephia, just different sheet metal. Had lots of issues, timing belts especially, door locks freeze whenever cold, rust issues, ect.
2007 Kia spectra- Kia quality from my other owned have greatly improved. Cars did not seem so cheap, nice interior, not so low of quality, much more reliable with a lot less problems.
2008 Kia Spotage current car- Good quality, has been super reliable. No issues as of yet, 80k+ miles. Though the timing belts on these are cheap at best, a lot of ppl have issues with them, and it is a big issue. Search about it.

4. Problems- Well a lot of Kia cars need timing belt replacements every 60K miles. NOT EVERY MODEL, so do your homework on the car that you want. Its a huge service at 60K miles, costing upwards of $1000 a pop. If the belts break on these specific models it will cost you a new motor. Something to think about. Over all though these are very reliable cars, Kia has really done a good job from going, economy box on wheels to a good reliable car, at a fair price.

4. As far as recommending, they are a good car, reliable, and don't cost and arm and leg.

08 Kia Sportage
07 Saturn Aura
87 Mazda RX-7
Working on a 07 RX-8

The Old
99 Sephia, 01 Spectra, 05 Spectra

Service with the sales person (Henery Bacon) 10
Service with Midwest Kia, Wichita, Kansas 1
A 2013 Kia Soul + Great car (one year)
A 2014 KIa Sorento LX love it! (24 days)
Service/Problems, read below;
Recommendations, Kia yes, Midwest Kia NO, read below;

Our first dealings with the Eck family occurred in 2009, at Rusty Eck Ford where we bought a 2008 Dodge Magnum. After being there for nine hours waiting on the finance department we were ready to sign papers and leave only to discover later that it was not the deal we had thought we were agreeing to. Our fault for not reading what we were signing more throughly. Some time later, after an oil change and tire rotation, we noticed a vibration on the drive home which turned out to be loose lug nuts. That turned into quite an ordeal as the service department had damaged the lug nuts. It was finally resolved some four weeks later after many visits and phone calls. In October of 2012 we went to Midwest Kia to trade the Magnum in on a new Kia Soul. There again we had issues with the finance department taking nearly two months to pay off the Magnum. This is when we learned that Midwest Kia was also an Eck family dealership, as we were referred to Les Eck to finally resolve these issues. Nearly one year later, September 2013, we were contacted by Henry Bacon, an absolutely awesome and hardworking salesman, about trading the Soul for a new 2014 model. We ended up trading the Soul in on a 2014 Sorento, and signed papers on October 5, 2013. After many trips back and forth for items and paper work they forgot to get or have us sign and not returning our phone calls along with 16 credit application rejections due to too many inquiries the deal was finally settled and the bank paid on November 15, nearly six weeks after the fact. We requested some compensation, perhaps in the form of gas or service on the vehicle, for our excessive amount of time involved and trouble, but we were told they were not obligated to do anything else. We will not deal with anything having to do with the Eck family again and have made sure that our family and friends got the word also. Be forewarned!!
