I realize this is an old thread, but its a sticky and thought this might be appropriate to add, with the help of Google maps here is the location of the three Korean plants and what they produce. I've just recently returned from Seoul and visited the largest Kia factory located Hwaseong

here's the satellite shot of the Hwaseong Plant, which is the largest of the three plants established in April 1989, employing nearly 12,000 in the factory, 15,000 overall. It covers over 803 acres and the building area covers 11,366,689 sq. ft.
The factory builds, the Optima (K5) (not the one for the US), Cadenza (K7), Forte (Cerato), Sorento R (not the one for the US and Canada) and the Mohave.

the Sohari plant outside Seoul where they build the Rio and Sedona. It covers over 123 acres and the building area is 2,327,306 sq. ft. and was established in July 1973.

the Gwangju Plant located in the southern part of South Korea where they build the Soul, Rondo, Sportage as well as trucks, buses, military vehicles and engine components. Established in 1965, covers 251 acres and a building area of 4,718,809 sq. ft.
