Default Buy a Sorento, get a Rio free?!?

My wife and nephew both swear that they have been hearing radio commercials for the local Kia dealer (Brewbaker Kia, Montgomery, AL) that if you buy a new Sorento, you'll get a new Rio free.

Sounds too good to be true, but they both say they've heard the ad.

they just ad the cost of the Rio to the sorento or less for your trade or many other ways to flim-flam you
no matter how you slice it or dice it your still buying the Rio

we came from nj and this was one of the area Kia dealers scam for this and other offences there they were busted ! false advertising and deceptive business practices !

as stated buy a local dealer if they can't make 1200 to 1500 bucks on every new car they sell they cant' stay in business

remember if it sounds to good to be true it is

but of you need two new cars work the price separatly at another dealer for both or separatly for the Rio and separatly for the sorento

or use the ball "park method" as i call it, take 5000 off of the sorento (totally discount dealer installed options) and 2500 off of the Rio and work from there

we came from nj and beleive me there are no honest dealers there
(Value Kia= bad, bad, bad ! the worst of the lot !

lol thats not a bad deal. I guess the Rio's don't cost them too much anyways (wholesale that is) so instead of profitting hugely on the Sorento they take a cut just to make the sale.

I wonder if the Rio is the latest year model. I've seen a buy-one-new-get-one-used type deal. I agree with beyond_help. Nothing's free!

We got this deal, and I can tell you they do not add the cost of the Rio to the Sorento. You end up paying the full MSRP, but the Rio is still free. It is a new Rio, but it is the base model. No A/C, no radio, stick shift, no power windows, etc. It does have speakers though, which made adding a radio pretty easy.

The dealers that have been using this marketing tool are doing exactly what Birstel said in his post. It is a very basic Rio and some may have miles which denote a used and/or demo status. Each dealer's program should be examined before signing for a deal for this reason.
