DON'T go to "Keystone Dodge Kia Isuzu Trucks" in Allentown, PA.

Here's a full review from Yahoo.com:

As inconceivable as it sounds, this really did happen... I hate even taking my car for an oil change there, but for the time being I have to... blah.

After about 15 years of buying and driving used cars ('83 Buick Skylark, '86 Chevy Celebrity, '91 Chevy Corsica, and '92 Buick LeSabre--may she rest in peace) as my "go-to-work and drive home" car, I bought a 2006 Kia Rio. Of all the compacts out there...I thought the Kia was the best deal based on looks, drivability, warranty, and price.

Unless I'm missing something...the only "cons" I see here is spending a little more for parts (alternator/radiator/blower motor/starter/rotors/drums/etc.), and having to be a little careful in being sure you are compliant on the warranty term if you are going to fix something yourself.

BTW...the Ford/Kia/Porshe dealer experience in Orland Park Illinois was excellent. I'll know more if/when I take my car there for service.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses
Jake: Hit it

When I have purchased all of my Kias in the past my dealership experiences have been great. Purchasing the Sedona was the best one though. I called them up to ask who was going to be around on a Saturday so I could go in and test drive it and make a deal. Before I knew it I was giving him some info about what I wanted to trade in and less than 24 hrs later he called me with a good deal so I went for it. That Saturday I test drove it and then signed all of the papers.

just got back home after going to dealer to sort a steering problem out. on the phone they said it wasnt under warrenty coz it may have been caused by hitting a pot hole etc. so i was expecting a farily heathty price to get the wheel alignment sorted.

well took it in this morning early as suggested so i could be seen 1st without having to jump the queue too much. well after a bout an hour of waitng ( they had builders in redoing the warkshop floor so understandable) he said my car was ready and the cost was on them.

amazed brilliant service, even though there were dusty fingerprints left on my sterring wheel.

How did you get it so they owe you a remote starter?

We had good & bad. Or rather, Great & Horrendous! With our '05 Carnival we were treated like Royalty, red-carpet treatment, great service & a pristine, gleaming new car. They went to great lengths to obtain & fit the (free) DVD player as we were off on a major holiday 1 week later. Gold stars all round. The only glitch was that one of the keys was wrong but that was fixed the next day.

A month later we went back to trade in my old Corolla on a new ('05) Rio. Same Dealer, same Salesman. We ended up with an '04 "Demonstrator" as we were just short of the $ for a brand newie. They had 5 days to prep. the car. When we went to collect it, it was unwashed, filthy glass surfaces, only ONE key & NO remote "Bippers". The Salesman wasn't even there - had to go shopping. In retrospect, I should've handed the key back & driven away in my old car until it was all fixed but that didn't occur to me until later. As it was, my Wife spent virtually ALL the next day at that Dealer & the only other Kia Dealer in town tracking down "Bippers" & getting a new key cut & coded. Oh, & I managed to disable the stereo the next night whilst trying to "train" the Bippers as (you guessed it) they gave us the Manual for a different Rio so the security code was WRONG! Back it went - AGAIN. Anyway, I ended up writing a letter very similar to this post & ended up getting a nice apology & an offer of the next service (15 000 km) free, which we will be taking advantage of!

The cars? Love them both.

The Long & Winding Road.

I bought a used 2000 KIA Sportage in Bangkok and took it to the local dealership for parts and service. The mechanics are excellent and the service is wonderful. The mecahnics have taken the time to track down each of the problems I have asked them to deal with. The dealership is Yontrakit Kia at Soi 84 Rhamkumhaeng. Yontrakit is a huge dealship group in Bangkok - selling every make one normally can think of - Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Cadillac, Chevy, Saab, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Skoda, etc., etc. ... and KIA. I would have thought that KIA service might receive little attention. No so. They do an excellent job.
Regards,

Bob Tucker
