Cannot add fuel to 2005 Spectra5

Hello folks, first time post here. My wife has a 2005 Spectra5 that we purchased new in 2005.

Recently the car threw a CEL, which I took up to the local Advance Auto parts store to check with a scanner. Unfortunately I didn't write down the code, but it was one that indicated a 'large fuel leak', according to the employee there.

He indicated this was fairly common and usually an issue with the gas cap not making a good seal. I had similar issues with a Mazda5 I owned a couple years back. So we screwed the cap back on more tightly, reset the code, and went on our merry way.

Now the CEL has returned and a new wrinkle, my wife is indicating to me that she can't put fuel in the car. When she tries to add gasoline, the tank acts as if it's full, allowing her to only put in a small amount of fuel, very slowly.

I did do an advanced search here, and found some general information about that particular CEL being a sort of recurring theme, but I didn't see where anyone was actually having trouble putting gas in the car as a result. Many of the threads were a couple years old as well, so I figured I might as well start a new one. Not to mention that most people who post about this probably use the term 'gas', and vbulletin sites won't search on anything 3 characters or under (in my experience).

At any rate, I'm fairly experienced with working on and diagnosing my own vehicles, (much to the credit of online forums such as this one), so any DIY advice to resolve this issue would be appreciated. I'm not actually sure if the vehicle is still under warranty or not. It only has about 24k miles on it (my wife doesn't drive all that much), so I'd assume so?

Thanks for any helpful information anyone can offer!

Airbag light

Good day everyone. The wife and I drive an 05 Spectra and recently the airbag light in the gauge cluster has started to stay on every so often. I was told to get it to a dealer immediatley, but was then told by some that it shouldn't be a big deal. I don't feel like having the drivers side bag deploy while driving, so what does everyone think?

Also, has anyone run into the check engine light staying on due to the evaporitive emissions control vale, or something like that, at the gas tank? Ours has been replaced 3 times due to a recall, but after a month or so it starts acting up again. There are no adverse effects on the car, it just makes filling the tank an excercise in patience! Anything I need to know about this little hiccup, or should I just keep getting it replaced?

By the way, I'm a first time poster and this site has been a big help! Hopefully going to trade up soon and snag a Forte.

Change the clock (howto)

Hi, I dislike the factory clock of my kia cerato, I can't live with the 12 hours format, I want the 24 one!
So, I have decided to create one by myself.
I have still to complete the project but it's almost done. I have a realtime clock, an lcd to display the value of hour and date. Plus, if I touch a button I can switch the lcd visual to see the temperatures of my amplifiers. Another nice thing is that if I unconnect the battery, I don't have to program again the clock because it has an internal battery.

More pics to come!

Rear Defroster (2005 Spectra5)

The other day i had ice on my back windshield to the point that i needed my rear defroster on. Well...when i pushed the button in, the symbol that lights up didn't come on, and it did not start blowing any air at all. I have checked my fuses (book says its a gray relay, but other diagrams show it to be an actual fuse)--nothing is blown or broken. The lines that transmit the heat or whatever that are on the actual window are fine-no smudges, breaks, etc.

My question is:: what could be causing this??? With the weather getting colder and wetter..i need my rear defroster! haha. any help would be amazing!
