KIA Sportage Vibration @ 120kmh

Hey guys,
I have two customers who both complain of a vibration when maintaining a speed of 120 kmh. above and below that speed there is no vibration.
I have had the wheels checked and balanced. the wheels are straight and true. I checked the tires for any out of round condition or force variation. The bottom line is that the cause is not the tires or the wheels.
These two customers are part of a fleet that includes over 40 Sportages, I need to solve this soon.

I have a 1995 Sportage and no matter what the temp is outside, we have a hard time getting it started. The engine turns over fine but doesn't fire. Eventually it start to act like it wants to start but won't completely get going. Usually take 3 to 10 minutes of consistent trying to get her started and then must let her warm up for 3 to 5 minutes before trying to move. Now the colder it is outside the longer it takes to get it started. I'm not sure if it is a mixture problem, a fuel pump issue or something totally different.
I live in Colorado the temp this morning was 10 degrees and we weren't able to get her started at all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone
My daughgter has a 2000 sportage the just died on her. So I replaced the fuel pump, no go there is no power to fuel pump. Both relays are good, and I also check for lose connection and could not find any. I tried spraying starting fluid in intake to start it and it wouldnt start. My question is if it broke a timing belt or jumped time would that kill the power from the computer to the fuel pump. Just trying to get as much info befor I pull the cover off the timing belt this weekend. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for such a great forum .

1999 Sportage. Florida Vehicle. Runs fine then hesitates. Some times dash lights come on, sometimes not. Hesitation/power loss lasts a few seconds then runs fine. Happening occasionally.
Though perhaps water trapped in fuel filter, tried isopropyl alcohol. Problem continues.
Where should I look next?
Thanks.

There is a plastic nipple fitted on the fuel pump that is prone to cracking which can cause a fuel leakage. Kia UK agents are replacing this free of charge. I got a letter from them this week and had it sorted. Took an hour.

Hi Guys,

When I bought my KIA, it came with 4x235R16 tyres. They have been great and have just done 40k miles, but need to be replaced. What I was thinking was to buy a smaller measure to reduce the consumption. I was thinking to buy 215R16. Is this feasable? Can I just do this? I was thinking in ordering the tyres from a website and then having them fit in a local garage, that's why I need someone advice before I go ahead with the purchase.
Also, what tyre brand do you recomen? I was thinking in Pirelli, are these any good?

Thanks

CEL is showing code P0171, Bank 1 system too lean. Probable causes are large vacuum leak, faulty fuel injector, fuel system fault, ignition system fault.
Does ayone have experience with this fault. Some of the causes are pretty vague.
I do not hear any large vacuum leaks, I have replaced the plugs, wires, coil packs, fuel filter, and upper 02 sensor within the last year to solve a previous light.
Have recently replaced the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, etc but light was on before that.
Any suggestions on how to narrow the search down?
Mileage is approx 82000

I've searched net for aftermarket. In Canada upper is available at around$90.00, but every site says lower is not available. US sites have them, but shipping to Canada is a problem. Also many sites say their O2 will suit either upper or lower. Can anybody give me some insight. KIA also needed cat. Rather than spend $700.00 we got a top of the line universal cat & made some modifications to make it fit. The supplier said this cat would replace both. Anyone have any experience with this? Our big concern is to get it to pass emissions. Love this site Thanks for any help. Cliff
