Hi guys...i finally decided to seek help in the forum since i havent been able to find answers from my mechanic.
About 10 days ago i fitted the 4th set of front disks on my car and as we speak the new ones are already bent resulting in annoying steering wheel vibration during braking. This has been the issue with the previous 3 sets too.I tried the OEM ones (twice),then BREMBO and now i have VALEO prc on (with different types of brake pads too OEM,TRW).The front system of the car is in perfect order there is no vibration when rolling but still the disks bent after a few hundred Kms from new.I run the car on 18" alloys most of the time except for off road use when i put the 16" ones on.
Has anyone had the same problem?....any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks...

My car is the 2004 Sorento EX 4x4. I just started using the heater again and it seems like its taking a lot longer to warm up. When the car is warm and I'm moving, it blows plenty of hot air, but every time I stop at a light, it changes to cold air. The air temp also seems to cool after I've driven 10 minutes without stopping. I thought I was low on coolant but checked it and its full. Anybody have an idea what I might be in for?
Thanks

Remote start issue

I’m new to the forum, Thank you for any information or insight you may have in advanced.
I recently purchased a new 2009 KIA Sorento LX, the dealer was supposed to install a factory remote start when I took delivery, but they said it was on backorder and they were going to call me when it was in. I had to bring it back to the dealer it in Monday for them to install the remote start. It took the mechanic at the dealership about two and a half hours to complete the install. When they finished they were very busy and they told me to read the book that was included, because it had a bunch of different features and they didn’t have time to explain it all to me. When I got home I read the manual and it seemed to work just fine, or so I thought. This morning when my girlfriend and I went to the store I realized that my passenger door didn’t unlock when I hit the unlock button twice on the key fob. In fact only the drivers door opened, even when I press the unlock button twice. None of the doors unlock except for the drivers, even when I press the button on the drivers door! Now I have no way to unlock any of the passenger’s doors without climbing over the seats and manually unlocking them, and I have no way of opening the back door!
I am going to have to call the dealer and reschedule an appointment, and being they are not very close I am less than happy.
Has anyone here had/heard this problem?
Does this sound like something that can be easily overlooked when installing a remote start? Should I be concerned with the quality of the product or installer?
Long term what is the track record of a remote start (are they prone to problems and issues)?
Again thank you for any insight on this matter.

Will a Delco radio from a GM work in my 06?

I have confirmed fitment and connections, but I know the GM delco radios need to be activated to the vehicle by the dealership to prevent theft. So I would like to know if I buy a Delco radio from a GM, will it work in my Sorento and will I need to have it unlocked at a Kia dealer?

Thanks,
-J

My 03 Sorento,93,000 miles. Kia stalls while driving on highway @ high speeds(70mph). Maybe every 50-100 miles it will stall and slow down until it comes to a complete stop. The gas pedal will no longer accelerate/respond and car will coast to a stop. Once at a stand still the car will return to normal and you can take off again. The dealership said unless they experience the problem when the tech is driving the car they can not diagnose the problem. The bad thing is it only happens at high speeds a prolonged driving. The check engine light doesn't come on, and the car doesn't cut off when this happens, it just will not respond. Has this happened to anyone else? Please help.:(

The wife said today when filling the tank that after pumping a gallon or two that gas started gushing back out of the tank. Once it stopped she proceeded again and the same thing happened. Can anyone tell me what causes this and what it might cost to repair the problem?

I can only turn the bolt 1 turn before it wont turn any more in either direction. I know this is probably very simple but it has me stumped.

I have an 08 Sorento LX with the OEM radio in it. Does anyone know or have a picture of the back of the Delco Electronics Model D446 AM/FM Tunner with Single CD player. I am trying to find out if this OEM radio has the nessecary RCA jacks in the back to plug in a Audiovox FMM100A FM Modulator so that I can play my IPod Touch through the OEM Radio. Eventually I will upgrade to a Pioneer Tunner/DVD player, but for now I just want to connect my IPod. Any Pictures or advice would be greatly appreciated. :)
