Default 200 Kia Sportage Heater Blower Switch

If there is already a thread for this and I missed it, would someone please tell me where it it?

It's getting very cold outside on the East Coast and my blower fan inside the car quit working. The hearter nor the A/C fan blows air inside the car.

Initially, I replaced the fuse. That didn't work. So I tested the 30A fuses in the driver's kick panel - they were fine.

When I try to turn the fan on, I can hear it click on in the engine area - it seems to run, but no air movement inside the car.

Could this possibly be caused from my too-full Starbucks coffee dripping over the side of the silly sportage cup holders? Maybe I just need to remove/clean the fan switches? Maybe replace fan switch?

If someone could point me in the right direction or to another link, I would greatly appreciate it. I checked some of the other forums regarding the heater blower motors and relays or sensors, but if I can hear the fan turn on and run in the engine, I can't imagine this is my problem.

Thanks!

Did you check this?

The blower motor could be fried. The click you hear from the engine area is probably the AC compressor engaging (which it will do for AC and for heat when set to defrost).

Let us know what you figure out.

Thanks Christian! I may have to do this on the weekend. It's getting so cold out!

They look like great instructions.
