Well, i'm new to the whole Kia world...

But I do know that in my former life of Cavaliers and Sunfires, removing the Res basically made the car sound like a LOUD swarm of angry bee's.

Replacing your stock muffler with that has a perferated core (read magnaflow or Dynomax) will give you a nice change in tone. 2.25 pipes with a resonator that also has a perferated core will takr the raspy ouot & five you a nice deap growl.
