Question 2006 Sedona Daytime Running Lights

I just bought an EX with the luxury and power packages but am surprised to not find DLRs. Is there an aftermarket adapter?

Where are you located Bill? Some countries they are standard, some not.

Thanks for your reply. I'm in Maryland -- yes I understand that in Canada they are required.

I don't recall anyone retro-fitting the Kia unit, but I suppose it would be possible. There is a separate control unit as I recall. I think aftermarket would be the way to go if you wanted. I believe Hella do a standalone kit (can you get Hella brand in US?).

What's the benefit to DRL? I disabled it on the last vehicle I had because I saw no use.

Default DRLs

There seems to be a significant safety improvement when DRLs are used. They are mandatory in Canada and other countries and my insurance company in the US gave me a discount or having them on a previous car. Check google for DRLs and you may find more info.
