I need help with my car.. I recently changed my water pump and timing belt. It ran good for couple weeks then got sluggish.. Got in it to drive one morning and when I got to the red light and let off the clutch and gave it has it died and wouldn't start back.. Fuel pump and pressure and he plugs are firing. It cranks but won't start.. Need help.. Friend said it was the camshaft position sensor

Have you checked the OBDII error codes stored in the ECM (engine control Module)??
This would give you a clue to what is wrong...

You might want to check the compression on all 4 cylinders... This will give a clue to the engines health.... Low compression may mean the timing belt may have slipped...especially "if" all 4 cylinders are low...

There is also a "keyway" called a woodruff key located on the crankshaft that can wear/distort/damage the end of the crank shaft... If this expendable part goes then the crank to cam timing will shift even though the "timing" looks correct...

The 2000 Spectra IS really a 2000 Sephia
I Googled "Sephia camshaft sensor location" and found this...
