Default 2008 Specta SX "water type sound"

Hello all, I just joined the forums and been searching for a bit. My wife has a 2008 Kia Spectra SX. The problem I'm having with it is that there is a "water sploshing" sound coming from the front of the car like its under the dash. It happens when I hit the brakes, take off from a stop and take corners. It almost sounds like a water bottle is caught under the seat. but there is no bottle to be found. Does anyone know what this could possible be? How I can fix it? or If you also have the problem. Thanks in advance.

JBounds.

This has been the reason for many threads and not uncommon. You have an air bubble in your cooling system and you need to burp the system. There are a couple of threads with ways of doing this. Use the search function to find them. I do'nt remember the methods off the top of my head.

Just drain and refill the system. That's the best way to do it.

Or even easier, make sure the radiator is full, then fill the coolant reservior until it's about an inch OVER the full line. Start the car, let it warm up and go for a drive (it may take a couple full cold to hot cycles to finish the job). The air will work itself out into the reservoir like it's designed to, then bringing the coolant level in the reservoir down to it's normal level. Always keep an eye on the reservoir though. The 2005-2009 Spectras always consume coolant (usually about 1/3 to 1/2 the reservoir every 5k miles or so). Just keep it topped off and you shouldn't have any problems.
