Default No power to stereo

While my wife was driving the Soul to work yesterday and the radio suddenly lost power and shut off. I checked all the fuses and cannot find any blown out so must conclude that it is a loose or disconected wiring harness behind the stereo in the dash... or possibly somewhere. Still have power to everything else in the vehicle. Anyone have any ideas or even how to get access to the back of the stereo to have a look, the only reason I ask is yes we have only had this vehicle since October but the closest dealership is 400km away and that makes this a very anoying problem. If it is easy to gain access so I can have a look and possibly fix this without driving 4hrs to drop off the car it would lower my blood pressure a bit, but if I have to take r' in well then that's what i gotta do i guess. Thanks

Try this link. It shows you how to take apart the factory unit:
