Default Amplified subwoofer on RCA to the factory stereo?

Hi All,

I have a 2006 Sorento with the factory stereo and recently I got a amplified subwoofer for my birthday. Is it possible to install it if i want to keep the factory stereo? Is there any solution to add an RCA output to the stereo to connect the subwoofer?

Thanks,
browny

Does your amp have a high level input, is so you can use that. You should not use low level inputs unless the radio has low level outputs.

Browny,

Unfortunatly, no.. as 1fastkia said (and he knows what he's talking about) you will have to upgrade your stock radio. And I too would recommend upgrading, expecially since there ALOT of awesome radios at great prices. Even if you're not expecting to keep your Sorento for a long time you can keep your stock radio and just re-install it when you trade in.

Regards,

AHF.

I went to the Yellow Hat and they fixed it for me. They installed (soldered it to the cables right before the kia standard connector) a high-low filter with an RCA output. It sounds great! So it's possible!
