I called my Kia dealer today to ask about remote car starters - I have a 2005 Sportage and he said that they do not make them yet. Has anyone had one installed from the dealer?
Said if I had it installed elsewhere it could void my warranty if something went wrong.

The only way they can void your warranty is if they can prove that the aftermarket remote starter caused something to malfuntion.
I have a remote starter in my Optima and just had one installed in my Spectra last week and had one in my Sorento I once owned and they were all aftermarket ones.
