I'll be installing my XM Radio into my new Rio (2006) tomorrow, but I want to make sure that I won't be breaking anything when I try to pry out the center dashboard piece.
Has anybody tried getting to the deck yet?
The radio is currently installed in a 98 Tercel, and getting to the deck was pretty easy. The antenna is in the back and the wire is threaded on the side, under the carpet & panels. I was planning on doing the same thing.
It looks like i can just pry the piece out from the bottom, but wanted to make sure before I do it

OK, I removed the ash tray where I could see a screw. I removed it, so it would seem that I could simply remove the black trim that surrounds the climate controls & surrounding the ash tray.
Is there something I need to pinch or clip, because it doesn't seem to pop out.
