Hello! Iam A New Member, I Drive A 2001 Optima

I have a 2001 Optima with an am/fm/cass/cd player, No sound, when I turn it on occationally sound from rear speakers momentarily then kicks out, at the rear of the radio I can plug speakers direct and get sound, if I conect new speakers to the speaker wires at the speakers I have no sound. I have been told that the REAR AMP could be bad, does anyone know where the REAR AMP is located?

HELLO. HAVING SIMULAR PROBLEM, DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS EVEN A REAM AMP. INSTALLED OEM RADIO.CD.CASS AND GET SOUND, BUT CANT TURN IT UP. SEEM TO BE MISSING SOME CONNECTIONS. WOULD LOVE TO CHAT WITH YOU. PSILKY42@WMCONNECT.COM

The rear amp is located in the trunk, on the passenger side of the vehicle. You will have to remove the carpet "shell" on that side to get to it.
