Changing Your Deck Could Void Warranty?

When I bought my car, I asked the dealer if he could put a better deck in it, he said he couldn't because of the warranty. But I see all the cars you guys have modded on here with new decks in it, and I'm thinking it would make no sense to void warranty just because of the deck, maybe just the warranty on the deck would be gone.....
Maybe someone could answer this, thanks.

should be only the deck which the warranty is void.. or if the new head deck causes something else to go wrong that wont be covered under warranty either..

When I replaced the deck in my Sorento the stock unit had a sticker on it right on a seam where if you took the unit apart the sticker would rip. It said If you break this seal you will void the warrenty to this unit.

OK I guess taking it of doesnt void the warranty either, as long as you dont open it. I'll have to ask the dealer about that next time I go because it doesnt make any sense...
