Radio Problems

My radio has no indications on it, so I cannot put in the code. My battery had gone dead for a few days and I did not know. So I replaced the battery and now my radio has no indications. Everything else works, the lights on the radio, the clock so I know that it is not the fuse. Can someone help me understand what happened to my radio, thanks much This is for a 2001 Kia Sportage

maybe a power serge happened? it happened to my old cd player and it stopped working for good. id say just get a new one and dont worry about the dead one it wont be fixed and if it can be its prolly expensive and an aftermarket unit is better anyhow.
