    Hi Dave,
Thanks for info, will try what you suggest, incedently, the car has done 218000 klms, and has had 2 timing belts, but the last timing belt was not fitted with a new tensioner bearing, which makes a noise on engine start, but goes away after a few seconds.
I did look around the engine bay to see if anything had come loose or disconnected, i found at the front top right of the head, a black connector two pin, the catch on top of connector had broken off, but managed to secure with a couple of plastic ties, maybe?.
    cheers.

Dave: seen post on drivers cv joint stuck. I have tried everything. Pry bars, screw drivers. Taken off tranny mounting bracket for better acess. airhammer with chisels. drilled through axel housing and used slid hammer. Taken out passenger side and pounded from inside tranny with 5 foot bar and sledge. Nothing works.

Hello, I seen your post to another member about the help with installing a new timing belt on a Kia Spectra 2006. I would appreciate this info as I have about 112k on my Kia now and am concerned about that belt. I believe I could do this work with a guide to follow. I plan on getting the kit that includes a new water pump also. Please let me know what you think. I'll check back. Thank you
